I have a Legion 5 ARH05a.

Specs - 4600H, GTX 1650, 16Gb RAM.I had 8gb RAM which I upgraded to 16Gb (Both New sticks as I couldn't find the same RAM)

These are the new sticks - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B08C4Z69LN/

This was the old stick https://www.memory4less.com/kingston-8gb-sodimm-pc25600-lv32d4s2s8hd-8

Since I installed this RAM, the 3DMark Benchmark is reporting throttling issues and although I can't feel the same in games (no improvement either), I do feel 1 second pauses in performance in programs which require high CPU usage and in 3dMark Benchmarks and HWInfo sensor data updates .
See the change in CPU clock in screenshots. The new RAM is running at 3200Mhz as per CPU Z and Task Man. just like the previous one. There has been a dip in CPU Z benchmark score too.

There was no improvement in any benchmark scores or FPS.

I used the old ram stick again and the problem disappeared. This RAM has been recommended by multiple forums.
I tried using only 1 new stick and that didn't help either.
Whats happening ?
I tried changing the power options but to no effect.
Ran Memtest for 8 hours, No errors.
The BIOS version is latest.

Please help.

I also noticed increase in CPU temps after the RAM installation.

It looks like what you bought is 2 separate sticks that may not work well.
Shop for a 2 stick kit.

I'm not finding the RAM you bought in the supported ram list. This can be the issue your facing the PC see the RAM and recognize it. However the system doesn't know what exactly what to do with ot as it isn't supported by the system

Like I wrote in the post, it was recommended by many forums (along with other RAMs). People have also mentioned using it with legion 5 in the amazon reviews.

You should probably ask those people in those forums.

You may also want to click on the memory tab of CPU-z to confirm the timings and frequesncy that your new ram is running at.

Also download and run memtest or do a windows memory diagnostic at the very least to see if you are getting any errors.

We have read the post not everyone here can memorize every post they read. We help several people at a time not just one so to remember everything you say throughout a post is impossible I'm sorry. We try as best as we can to help you remotely there's a difference from being there and actually experiencing the issue and trying to go off of what someone is saying. If you haven't noticed yet there are a good portion of post we don't get solved because we aren't there to physically experience what's goin on to help. The factor that you expect people from a different forum to solve a issue that was started somewhere else is somewhat baffling if their the ones that suggested the changes to you then they should have the solution to fix the issue.

Dude I have been here 10 years. The quality of help has gone down significantly over time, believe it or not. BTW the same RAM was reco'd here too. FYI.
