cpu tempeture over heated

i got a asus motherboard A7V333, i get this messege while im booting up the computer(cpu temperature to high)or (cpu over heated)most of the time it happens when im running the computer couple of hours and installing a program and i have to restart the computer, and its annoying
can any one help ?please let me know

Make sure you have thermal compound of some brand, between the processor die and the heatsink, if the board has a temp probe make sure its properly positioned as per your manual requires, if all that is right consider going to a better heatsink. What are your actual temps?
