I saw a video of some intel guys putting thermal compound on the cpu so I think I've got that part down. Where else do I put the thermalpaste when I'm building my computer? Any recommendations? Also, I've never felt thermalpaste is it sticky and once I have my heatsink in place can I remove it in the future or is it stuck there? Thanks.

Yes you can, though you might want to reapply then because the paste probably won't be so liqued and can't spread out evently between teh CPU and heatsink. As for where else if you feel up to it your integrated GPU, a video card, and that's about it. Basically paste is for contact between hot metal ans heatsink.
