Question CPU upgrade compatibility ?

Basically, from what I've gathered from multiple communities from tech. Considering my current setup and the only "need" of wanting to stabilize and improve Valorant FPS, I could go for an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X without any issues occurring, simply having to update the BIOS. I will ask once again just to be sure I don't make a stupid decision, is this fine? I won't run into any issues?

Which motherboard ? With all b450/550 and x470/570 all you need is updated BIOS but some b450/550 may not have enough power. With 5800x you also need good cooling. R7 5700x may be better choice because it runs cooler, demands less power and easier to cool while having almost same performance.
 
5700X or the 5700X3D would be the best choices: the former for the reasons stated by prior posters and the latter because it's the fastest gaming CPU currently available on AM4 (you could potentially find a used 5800X3D as well).

You would definitely want to assess your CPU cooling because if you're using the stock cooler the 5700X would probably be okay (I'd still rather not use the stock cooler on it), but the 5800X or any of the X3D parts would not be.

edit: just checked your motherboard and if this is indeed it then I think I'd lean toward the 5700X.
 
That one is barely enough for 3600 let alone for 8 core CPU. The reason AMD doesn't supply coolers for higher end processors is that they don't have any adequate ones.
Core count isn't really relevant when you're talking about single CCD thermals it's power consumption. It's the same cooler that comes with the 5600/X which uses the same amount of power as the 5700X. It's not a good solution, or one I would use period, but it would work. Given that the op didn't mention cooling at all it's something that needs to be addressed.

The 5600x has nothing to do with the 5700x.
Don't compare them when you have a difference of 2 cores.

I'll say it again since you clearly didn't get it the first time: core count doesn't matter when talking about single CCD thermals only power consumption does (CCD count is really the only thing that matters outside of power consumption really).

I'm just saying that whatever you put in the 5700x won't work , it needs good cooling,
I have that particular one and I see every day how it behaves, just like I have a 3600xt which also has no comparison with a simple 3600

The 3600XT is a 95W part with a different power profile than the 3600 (which is 65W) so of course they're not the same. The 5700X is a 65W part that shares the exact same power profile as the 5600/5600X your comparison doesn't make sense.

With what you're saying, the 5600x and the 5700x are the same, whether you're saying that or not.

When looking at them from only a thermal perspective they are and that's one of the reasons why the 5700X is such a great part.
The AMD was always ''playing'' with the currents
if you enable the 5700x's PBO, the processor becomes the same as the 5800x
I see 8 cores with 8 cores and not with 6

Yeah that's because you're removing the power limit and have 2 more cores when you do it (the power increase is proportional to the core increase when comparing the 5700X to 5600/X). The only thing stopping the 5700X from using more power is its default 65W profile.
