So I had this budget system that my girlfriend built for me. I got an Athlon 200GE, 2x4GB of 2400Mhz RAM, a b450 Aorus Mobo and a GTX 750 SC.

So I know the Athlon is good for when you don't have a GPU, but I have one so I had in mind a Ryzen 3 or 5 to upgrade the CPU. My budget is around 80-130$, and I don't mind buying used if that's a good option.

If you can help me to decide which CPU to upgrade and that will be a good pair for my GPU I would appreciate it. Thanks!

The Ryzen 5 2600 is the best performing CPU that is compatable with your motherboard that also costs $130 or less.

Your CPU sets the maximum FPS, and its up to your GPU to keep up with that. With most resolutions, the 750 will be the limit in games.
The R5 2600 could handle a much more powerful gpu.

I would go with the 2400G. the vega 11 is on par with the 750 performance wise.

for the general idea only

if you get the 2600 you will want a new GPU pretty soon. if at 1080p the 1050ti or better at least. ideally 1060 or better for 1080p
I was just about to ask which GPU I could pick in an upgrade if I went for the 2600. So if I go for the 2400G I can keep using its APU while I sell the 750 and the Athlon so I have a better budget for a GPU. What do you think?
