i just bought a new pc a month ago and started using it just recently ( like a week ago ) for context, the wall plug that i plug my pc into isn't grounded, the official model of my pc is from the hp website is HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2032nt Bundle PC (https://ssl.www8.hp.com/tr/tr/products/desktops/product-detail.html?oid=2100744165#!tab=features) but the systeminfo from cmd says HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2xxx, i bought this computer without the graphics card, and the power supply, as they say is ;

part number: L81009-800
part description: GNRC PSU 500W WS20 FR GOLD

i hear small crackling or weird clicking noises from inside the case and i think the power supply is the problem as there is no gpu on the system, the sounds randomly appear but they appear like 3-5 times in a minute, i will try to get this wall plug grounded someway, would this pc last for like 1-2 weeks with active usage? the crackling noises either appear by themselves or they appear right after another in a small frame of time, with most probably the same noise level

edit: they probably appear more than 3-5 times in a minute and they sound like electrical zaps, also for another context, as the wall plug isnt grounded, i get zapped when i touch the aluminum backplate of the pc (the io shield side) and i feel a very weird sensation in my hands when i put my hands on top of the case which is most probably not metal, i can discharge all this electricity when i unplug my pc and hold in the power plug for some time, after so the rgb leds in my pc light up for a very small frame of time. also i dont think if the computer has an electrical leak as when i just newly power on my pc i dont get zapped when i touch the backplate of my pc, i think it builds up after some time and i think the crackling noises are because of that, any idea? also i tried furmarki
ng my apu (5600g) and the crackling frequency didnt seem to change, also the temperatures didnt exceed 40-50 degrees

edit2: also when i check the io shield part of the pc with an electricity testing screwdriver the small light inside it lights up, but it doesnt light up when i press it to the part that makes my hand feel weird

edit3: after doing that flushing out static electricity thing by plugging the power cable then pressing down power button, the problem seems to be solved, but im almost certain that it would reapear in the future so im still open for your suggestions etc

i grounded my socket using a shady method but atleast it works so i guess that was why, hope my psu didnt get any damage meanwhile it was non-grounded

Grounding your socket was the right thing to do.....and I think it unlikely that running it ungrounded caused a problem.
actually that crackling noise thing disppeared after i flushed all the built up electricity inside it, the problem was that the case zapped the hell out of me, i was and still using some cheap off brand phone headphones as a headphone and i couldnt use it for obvious reasons, and even more is that i had to regularly connect my phone into my pc ( it built up static as well :| )

PSUs have certain components at the input for filtering EMI and spikes. Their effectiveness may vary but practically all modern PSUs have them. These elements leak a small amount of current to the case which is drained off to ground via the ground pin on your wall plug. When the plug is not grounded, the leakage current instead go through your body to ground. This is what you feel when you touch the case.

The crackling sound OTOH is not normal and should be investigated even if it goes away when you ground the plug.

cant really investigate it, it is a prebuilt by hp so i doubt if the psu is even good :/ atleast it probably has warranty so

actually, there is still some crackling noise altought very silent ones, like crackling your fingers quietly but even quieter, it either comes from the power supply or the mobo/cpu fan, and i doubt if it is about the load on the system as there seemed to be no change in frequency after running a furmark for like a minute, the crackling noises seem to appear completely randomly, like 1-3 times per minute, any idea why? again as i said, it is a hp prebuilt psu so that could give some hints?
