just done a simple OC,. im going to aim for 4.2hgz so if anyone has some wisdom pls comment.

Im going to OC my OC'ed GPU's after i get my CPU to 4.2ghz..then ill replace them with 2x ati 6970 or 2 nvidia 580. (1 now and a 2nd one in 6months / 1 year)

Not every Thuban can hit 4.2 GHz as far as I know. So, if you can actually hit 4.2 GHz, you will be pretty lucky.

i checked my stepping and it seems i've got a die from a the best week :) and my cpu is OC'in on my crosshair V with mushkins 2133 much better compaired to my M4A79T Deluxe with 1333 mhz adata ram (Office pc brand 😛) and they oced to 1866 without much problems.was a twichy board from the start and cooler bending it didnt help :) i was hoping to see more people with crosshair 5 to share there experience but its still abit new so ill have to wait or blindly experiment myself. been running ROG for a week now,. so ill soon start OC'ing with that

Watch you memory speed, i burnt up a 1090t imc overclocking my ram the 1090t imc is only designed to run at 1333 this doesn’t mean it will only run at 1333 as I run mine at 1600 all it means is your risking potential damage to your cpu
4.2 is very obtainable with the thuban mine runs at 4.33 stable all day every day, just watch your temps

what stepping do you have? just want to know if my 1090t will get similar results 😛
