Don't understand why people are saying Crysis 2 is such a fail. I had an awesome time playing the demo, the nano suit really changes gameplay so much when you compare it to other FPS.

People claiming its a COD copy really haven't put in enough time, because it is, sooo much different, just because you can level and upgrade your stuff makes it COD?

You all do realize that COD isn't the only gaming franchise offering XP lvling in Multiplayer gaming?

I can't believe a paid $60 for this game. It belongs in the $10 bargain bin at Walmart.

This article is pure bogus...

"Here we see the highest settings and resolution tested, and the GeForce GTX 460 and Radeons 6850 and 6870 are left out with minimum frame rates below 30 FPS (although the Radeon HD 6870 almost makes the cut with 27 FPS). If smooth performance is what you’re looking for at 1080p with maximum detail, you’re going to need a GeForce GTX 560 Ti or Radeon HD 6950, at least".

The above is just a pile of crap, I'm playing this game now on hardcore settings at 1900x1080 with a radeon 4890 1gb card and it's running smoothe
Don't buy into this lying piece of *** story, older cards like the 4870 and 4890 or equivalent will run this game at maxed out settings just fine.

Are you for real?

We never even tested those older cards. We simply pointed out the new cards that achieved more than 30 FPS minimum. Why the hell would that exclude older cards that might perform as fast?

You've managed to make absolutely no sense. Use your head before posting next time. ;)

Crossfire serious flickering problem - solution: rename crysis.exe for bioshock and install latest ATI profiles. The game plays just fine on full screen! Don't forget to create a new shortcut directly from install folder. Regards

[citation][nom]bv90andy[/nom]I don't even understand why toms went through the trouble with an unfinished game.[/citation]

I would say because its available to the public and people want to know if its worth buying or not as their hardware may not run it.

How peed off would you be to pay 60 bucks for a game, get it home and watch a slide show?

Please people, our guys at Tom's work REAL HARD to provide you with information that you can sit on your but and press keys to criticize all day long.

Sorry to sound like I'm attacking you bv90andy, its more directed to alot of previous posts and I guess your post pushed me over the edge.

You're asking a semi valid point but I believe that my response is primarily your answer. People have a couple of years of "Can your system run Crysis" in their head so that in itself would be the reason for Tom's review...

I just finished Crysis 2, story/gameplay/and A.I were far better than the original. My 6870 + i5 760 (3.7ghz) blazed through this game with incredibly smooth play. I used extreme settings at 1920x1080, but keep in mind they don't allow you to tweak all the normal settings.

What spec do you have? Wouldn't want you to get a game where your graphics card can handle it yet your machine itself can't! Always best to throw these sorts of things out to the floor.

I run the game at hardcore settings at 1920x1080 with a single HD 6870 at 70 FPS. My processor is an AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE at 3.6Ghz.

This bench is shit tbh.

This was run as a real-world benchmark, that means online against other players... not staring at FRAPS while looking at a wall.

Your bench is worthless, TBH.
