[citation][nom]blue shift[/nom]What the hell is a SCAR? Or a Waffenskin?[/citation]A Waffenskin is what you do with your sister-in-law and a SCAR is usually what you get from it. =P
[citation][nom]gtvr[/nom]I think my 7 year old would like to to the dress-up thing, but... an adult?[/citation]Comicon? Never heard of it? You'd be suprised who would wear that thing!!
[citation][nom]kewl munky[/nom]NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be done with high school before it's out. I want to flaunt this beast of a backpack at school[/citation]
You can always be that guy who graduates and then goes back to hang out with the underclassmen...
lets see here, a crysis backpack for 140 dollars and the game. Or the game and the 5.11 Select carry sling pack which is the one thats in Conviction that Sam wear which is 114 dollars. True I could pretend to be in a nanosuit. Or I can pretend to be Sam Fisher. All I need now is a portable emp which would wipe the floor of any nanosuit lol.
To those who don't like the price just look at it this way at least there is no mention of releasing content in the special edition that should be in the game normally. There is no mention of day 1 downloadable content (which is amusing as DLC is suppose to be newly created stuff not already created just to make you pay extra to fully experience the game). So in the end this special edition is harmless and will make die-hard fans happy while also supporting those who made it possible.
I also think its a gutsy move as if there are special editions for the consoles then its a big risk. Consoles never had a Crysis game before there isn't a pre-existing fanbase like with other series that release special editions. While I expect the game to be a success at-least when it comes to sales (I disliked Crysis gameplay & story) and may be a huge hit on the consoles they perhaps should have made fans first and waited to the next game to release the special editions. Also a quick note that the Crysis dev's also lack any previous console releases so there isn't any Dev fanbase for them on the consoles either.
[citation][nom]Strider-Hiryu_79[/nom]Why don't you use that "PC" of yours and use the "the internet" to look up and realize that it's multiplatform?[/citation]
His point was... We don't know if the special/collectors edition will be available on the PC. The pictures posted are for PS3 which means an XBox 360 special edition will also be available but doesn't instantly make a PC special edition obvious.
We'll have to wait until the official announcement (or another leak) to see what offerings they will provide specific to the PC.
Obviously if it's multiplatform and they planning at least 2 SKUs for one platform it would make sense that the other 2 platforms would also have 2 SKUs as well. The SKUs being standard and special edition or possibly a 3rd SKU or more.
Remember this isn't activision/IW that we're dealing with aka MW2 : prestige editions for consoles but none for PC.
