i never fear of console.. but now i fear of free to play pc games. it's like no future left to me, if everything is free to play or subcription model. i want to own my games and to play offline games too.

"And that's exactly what Crytek did with Warface and the G-Face social platform"

They should rename that G-Face social platform to FacePalm social platform...meh.

[citation][nom]fightingslu[/nom]I don't fear consoles near so much as a feel crappy FTP games where you are extremely underpowered unless you pay $100+, if a company spends 10-30 million you are not going to get anywhere in the game for free.[/citation]
I fear games like Battlefield 3 too, where even if you pay, you're just a little piece of shit who gets slapped around by EA and treated like crap just because you are nothing to them. It's not like you payed for the game, ohohoho, noooo, only premium players actually pay for it. You're just a piece of shit who will have to cope with playing only 1% of the maps. Take that, you poor mongrel.

Devs prefer consoles because there is A LOT less piracy. Obviously there's going to be piracy on every platform, but the difference is to torrent xbox 360 games you need to open up your console, connect your drive to your pc, and flash the firmware (and to get the newer games you need to be able to find a specific dvd burner that is no longer manufactured then flash the firmware of that as well) whereas on PC you just need to install a torrent client. Big difference right there because most people wouldn't even know where to begin on modding their consoles. The PS3 hack scene is pretty much dead making it almost impossible to get any newer games, and the Wii has games that nobody cares about. Additionally, Crytek F2Ps ARE the future, I played the Warface Russian beta and it was amazing. It offers the multiplayer depth of a retail game, but its F2P. Surely this can also mean high quality F2Ps from other devs in the future as well.

The only free to play game that i thoguht was good was "black prophecy". That was an AWSOME game that lost populatity due to low contenet.
If the game had more story to it, it would be the most amazing free to play game i have ever seen in my life, and a lot better than most payeed games.
Crytek talks a lot, but then dosent deliver, or at least, it ahs been this way till now. If they change, ill be interested, if they dont, i wont.

So, to all companies in the world: YOUR ACTIONS DESCRIBE YOU, NOT YOUR WORDS.
