D0 steping chip?

Is this the difference between RK and BX chips? (manufacturers codes). RK's are nightmares to find!!!

Im no expert on this all i know about the D0 stepping is the chips will run cooler.I think its a Different way of layering the silcon but im not sure.One of our guru's should be along soon to give you a better answer.

I read an article on <A HREF="http://www.overclockers.com" target="_new">http://www.overclockers.com</A> about the article written by THG and it says that THG was plain our wrong, that it NOT a D0 stepped Prescott.

Okay thanks for that overclockers link - very informative.

So the RK manufacture code does NOT mean that the processor has a D0 steping chip.

Well can someone PLEASE tell be what the difference is between the BX and RK manufacturer codes?

And I guess that if I can find a D0 step over a C0 step I should go for it?

I'm pulling my hair out here!!!!!! 😉

E0 Stepping already out in the market.

try to look for L7E3, L7E4 or L7E5.
