Holy smokes it has a dynamic campaign, imagine that! Looks ambitious. Does that
crew have a track record of sims that work? Because if they do my check is in
the mail that sim looks seriously fun.

The game (game!) is produced by Sonalysts. They were the team behind Janes
688I, Fleet Command and Sub Command.

Only the deluxe version. The cheaper version comes with the manual as PDF.

I'm waiting "Dangerous Waters" like I waited "Harpoon" in 1989 after reading
Red Storm Rising. Being the tactical coordinator on a P-3 Orion was my pet
dream since I discovered that book.

Which is a good idea IMO. If people want a big ass manual then I dont mind
paying a bit extra for it.

They have a very good track record. Sub Command and 688i are two of their
previous sub games. This new version will be multiplayer and multiplatform.
You get to fly some sub hunting airplanes and helicopters and also drive the
subs and get to drive a destroyer to boot. And you can get your friends
together to all play on the same ship, sub or plane.

Don't go all out yet. I don't like the source of the information --
i.e. pirates stupidly posting on the Battlefront board -- but it
doesn't sound like were getting much more than Sub Command in terms of
scope, and actually somewhat less. I was planning on preordering, but
I'll let you guys go first and tell us how it is.

They just released the Demo so you can go download it and try it out for
yourselves.

Note: Disable the Virus software when you download or it may corrupt the
files. I had to download twice as I forgot to turn off McAfee.
