Recently, I randomly started getting DEP messages while exploring in Internet explorer. I was wondering what may be the cause of this. Thanks in advance.

What version of IE? 6,7,8?

DEP technology in Windows prevents the execution of code in non-executable memory. I would try either adding an exception in the DEP settings or reset internet explorer.

Have You tried Disabling Your add-ons In IE? You can also Disable DEP In the boot.ini File. Here is a link - http://www.zensoftware.co.uk/kb/article.aspx?id=10002

I have internet explorer 8.

I thought of disabling DEP, but i think if it is disabled, i may suffer more severe consequences that is i do not have it disabled.

sorry for the double post, but (jmt) i did reset IE8 and i still have the DEP messages. The only things i can thin could be wrong is possibly some sort of malware/virus. I use microsoft Security Essentials protection, and super anti-spyware also, and get nothing but my typical tracking cookies.
