News DDR4 production expected to continue until 2026 — Samsung, SK hynix, and Micron will continue serving industry clients for longer

Have a system with ddr4 and see2x price increase on last month.

Now I want to build a XP destroyer machine but the ram price is ludicrous... how hard to find 2x2gb ddr3 lol
I grabbed 64 GB on ebay for almost $1/GB, now I'm swimming in RAM.

I might accumulate more DDR4 from buying up cheap desktops. Most are coming with at least an 8 GB stick.

It appears that you can get 16 GB of DDR3 for around $20, is there a problem with getting your XP retro machine to work with that? Like you could use Pro x64 Edition, or use a regular one and only 4 GB will be addressed.

I also see that it was possible to create a ram disk with the extra memory even on 32-bit Windows XP.
