Hey everyone, last night i was using my pc as usual i shut it down and went to bed, in the morning, i wake up and when i try to power on the pc, nothing happens, not even the fans move.
I tested almost everything possible, so what i am looking for in this post, is closure that the culprit is my motherboard.

Specs
Gpu: gtx 1080
Cpu: ryzen 7 5700x3D
Ram: 16gb DDR4 3200mhz
Motherboard: Asus 520m S2H
OS on an m.2

Here are the things i tried:
1) tried with only one ram stick on both slots
2) reset cmos
3) unplug psu, trying different wall sockets
4) jumping the system with the motherboard pins
5) unplugging and plugging 24pin psu connectors
6) tests on the psu: psu supplied energy to the fan connected directly to the psu, but did not supply power to any other fans or aio. Tried with my friends psu, which we know works, to no avail.
7) reseat cpu
8) tried draining power by holding power button flr 30sec
9) tried starting the pc without gpu on

Probably tried more things but can’t even remember, it’s been a rough day.

I think everything aims at the motherboard, so i am seeing if i can buy a new one these days.

Edit: the gtx 1080 has always had a white led turned on, so i guess the psu does supply energy to the 1080?
Keyboard and mouse light up too

You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU and it's age. GTX1080 is the GPU chips name, what is the make and model of your GPU? Some GPU's have an LED light up to tell you that the card isn't getting enough power. Conversely, it might also signify that the card is getting power. Thus the question about what GPU are you working with?

The psu is an evga 600w white, age is about 2 years. But i tried with my friend’s psu with no success.
As for the gpu, im sorry but don’t know the specifics, the gpu does have one blower fan, and the white led is always lit up, even before the problems were presented.

Also the cpu is a week old, i dont know if it can be the cpu but it makes me very very stressed.

Ok so, all of the things i tested above in the main post, i did today, about 8 hours ago from now, i was ready go to sleep, but i plugged in the psu and pressed the power button, and it turned on and booted correctly. I have no idea why it didn't turn on before right after doing all the steps i tried.
Now im scared to turn off the pc because im not sure if it will turn on again...

If you haven't backed up all your important data, now would be a good time to do so, in case the PC fails to boot and something nasty happens to your internal drive(s).

Not exactly the highest quality PSU and I think it only has a 3-year warranty.

More expensive PSUs may provide 7, 10 or 12-year warranties.

Tried with my friends psu, which we know works, to no avail.
What PSU is installed in your friend's computer?

Motherboard: Asus 520m S2H
I know the 5700X3D is on the motherboard's list of supported CPUs, but the 520M S2H is a bit "light" in the VRM department, with no cooling on the MOSFETs and inductors. If it's this board (see link) I can only see 7 inductors and the associated MOSFETs. I'd feel more confident pairing the 5700X3D with a more capable VRM with more stages and decent heatsinks.

From what I can see on this site, the 5700X3D has a TDP of 105W and a PPT of 142W which makes it a mid-range CPU in terms of power dissipation. Have you enabled PBO? You may just be expecting too much of this combination of CPU and mobo.

Everything indicates my motherboard is failing, i ordered this motherboard, will have to wait till it arrives to use the pc.

It booted up yesterday miraculously but now same thing, woke up and does not turn on.
I noticed the mouse lights were flickering rapidly, and the keyboard was not lighting up, i know the psu is not faulty so i guess the motherboard is not distributing energy properly in the system.
