Thanks for trying to help me out,

My brother was looking to buy a pc and I have this part list for him: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bX3mBP

1.6k turned out to be a bit much, and ideas on how to decrease the price? Its for editing and gaming. I was think maybe to drop down the gpu to a 1060 and the cpu to a i5 6600k.

Also, is it a decent idea to pick up a used titan 6gb or a 1070 from ebay so its used but alot cheaper?

Also, I'm used to razer for peripherals, any good mice or keyboards from maybe final mouse or whatever that are very high quality, and good for gaming. Also the keyboard should be mechanical.

Thanks for everything!

The simplest cuts I can see there would be to start with the peripherals. Razer is fairly expensive, i'm sure there are cheaper alternatives of similar quality (can't think of many off the top of my head, but I use mostly Logitech, which can also be expensive). Then axe the storage. Cut down to 1TB HDD and 250GB SSD, even down to 120GB SSD if you're really in a bind. The SSD won't make much different in games, but it's great for the OS and a few other select programs.

Significant cut on the GPU, but with a 1080p monitor the 1070 is overkill. For additional savings you may consider downgrading the monitor to a 75Hz with FreeSync. Otherwise, it should still be fine, but the RX 480 probably won't push everything to 144Hz (overkill in my opinion). It will still deliver well above 60FPS on ultra settings with 99% of games out there today at 1080p.

Another option, if you can wait, is to check out the Ryzen R5 line of CPU due our over the next few months (hopefully). It's possible those will deliver as good, if not better, performance than the 7600k for less money if you're on a tight budget.

Cheers!

Yeah, not much to trim if those are the type of components you want. You'll have to sacrifice something reduce the price.

GTX1070 is a pretty good match with a 1080p 144hz monitor. 1080p@144hz is a bit more horsepower than 1440p@60hz
