Question Defrag NTFS in linux

I've got an NTFS partition on my computer. My operating system is Kali Linux and I figured out that it doesn't support NTFS defragmentation. How do I defrag that partition within Linux without having to boot into Windows ? I tried e4defrag but no use.

As NTFS is a Windows filesystem you should be using that to defrag that partition. All other tools are reverse engineered and are known to occasionally trash things.

Boot Windows, defrag the volume (if it sits on mechanical drive), go back to Linux.

That's the problem. I earlier had Windows, and now its replaced with Linux. However, the other partitions that existed earlier are NTFS.

In that case, I would not bother defragmenting it. And don't tell me that NTFS volume is your primary data volume in your (Kali) setup. You're asking for trouble.
