i love how this thread turned from 'help me with my pc' -> 'lets make a gaming pc'
1. i had a dell dimension 3xxx series (still works) ...dude give it up. Before graphics the stock processors are too old to run anything, the motherboard doesn't have PCI-Ex16 so you can't put any good graphics cards in it, you'd need to change the cooling system since that PC doesn't use the regular heatsinks.....i could go on forever...either live with playing pre-2000 games or build a new one.
2. any of the builds which ppl comment on (and they will
) are all fine, they know what they're talking about, if you have a budget then use the build that bigshootr8 recommended as its cheaper compared to similarly performing pc's.
3. you don't know how to build, you have a dell dimension 3000, dismantle it, blow 'some' dust and reassemble it.
4. could suggest you keep your hard drive, don't need to buy a new windows OS if you do that and don't need to buy a new HDD.
5. ppl, keep geek talking in moderation
