Dell dimension 8400 series bios revision a03 stuck on screen

I powered up my computer todat and it would not go past the dell bios page. i tryed f12 and f2 but no luck. then after a couple of time a "dos" looking screen came up saying " Alert! Previous attemps at booting this system have failed at checkpoint [Ithr]. For help resolving this problem, please note this checkpoint and contact Dell Technical Support. PLEASE HELP ME!

Try getting into the BIOS -- press Del key as the machine boots and see if something (like the hard drive) is missing from the list.

Otherwise I think I'd follow the instructions on the screen and see how Dell respond.
