I’m running an Asus laptop with a gtx 1050.
Recently I bought a portable, secondary screen for my laptop for a few reasons: utility, convenience, workload, and because I can’t stand to not have a secondary screen after years of using dual screens on my desktop.
I want to buy an eGPU for my laptop, to boost performance in graphic intensive games that the 1050 couldn’t dream of handling on its own. The eGPU is an Aorus Game Box, with a Thunderbolt 3 connection.
I’m aware that the eGPU doesn’t work in conjunction with the 1050 to run the laptop’s primary screen, so, will I be able to reassign the 1050 to run the secondary monitor, rather than have to split the eGPU’s power between both screens?
(The secondary screen is a MobilePixels Duex, which connects to the laptop through a thunderbolt 3 connection).
