desktop appearance

hi guys, I have a little problem I was downloading desktop wallpaper from
www.schwinn.com however the process failed and now the wallpaper is shown
halfway acreoss the screen and I can't get rid of it?
Also how do I show my desktop items?

1. Right-click on the desktop and click PROPERTIES.
2. Click the DESKTOP tab
3. Switch back to your old background and click OK.

Hi,

Choose a different wallpaper, preferably one that is on the system (Control
Panel/Display/Desktop tab). When you use a wallpaper you find on the web,
download the entire file to your system first, then use the browse button in
the Display properties to select it. What I believe happened to you is that
you only got part of the file.

To turn on the desktop icons, right click an empty area of the desktop.
Choose "arrange icons by"-->"show desktop icons". Which ones are displayed
is controlled in the "customize desktop" section of Display properties (same
tab as above).
