desktop build for gtx1070

Hi guys,

So basically i'm trying to build a gaming desktop for a friend. could you guys tell me if you see anything wrong with this build or if i could improve anything? Thanks in advance!

cpu: i7 6700
motherboard: Asus ROG Maximus 8 Hero
gpu: MSI GTX 1070 GamingX Twin Frozr
ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8gb 2666 16gb
cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212X
HDD: Seasonic 2tb
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500gb
PSU: Seasonic X750 80+ Gold Full Modular
monitor: benQ XL2411Z
case: NZXT Manta

We're not going to get the 1080 due to the price difference with 1070.

Seems pretty good to me, there is nothing I would change, only 'budget' cuts. That's a very futureproofed build there. Just ensure the mobo is compatible with the RAM and CPU.

NZXT Manta is and mini ITX form factor - that requires mini ITX Motherboard.
the one you have selected is standard ATX - will not fit.

hey thanks. yeah we changed the case. I just noticed that the maximus 8 was atx when we were already paying for the parts and luckily the case wasn't paid for yet. we ended up getting something else.

Unless you're going for a 6700k, i don't think you need a z170 board like the maximus 8, which is made for overclocking. H110 or b150 should suffice.
