Hi all,
I have an alienware Area 51 desktop (not the small one) with an intel x58 motherboard in it.
It has started crashing while i was playing League of Legends last week, so i updated my nvidia drivers (didn't change a thing) and i had managed to make my computer stop crashing by make my fans turn really really fast (it made really much noise), i also opened the computer to increase the air flow and opened the windows of my room because it's cold outside. Then it crashed again the next day but i had enough time to play for about an hour, while i couldnt the day before... And there it kept crashing and crashing again, it arrived at the password screen, and rebooted. Then it crashed on the screen where i need to chose between my ubuntu partition and windows (i have 2 hard drives). Now it just starts the fans (as it always does), but i get no answer from the screen and it does "beep beep beep beep beep beep" again and again (exactly 6 same beeps each times with a small pause before beeping again).
I have 3 4G RAM things (don't know the word there), i've tried starting my computer with onr thing of RAM at a time, to see if the problem came from that (i read that on a forum somewhere). But it didn't work anyway, so i think the problem comes from my motherboard.
Is that right ? Do you know what I could do about it ?
Here are the specs of my computer : cpu : i7 960, gpu nvidia 560Ti, 3x 4G RAM at 1600MHz (runs at only ~1033 though, i don't know why...), motherboard : intel x58 (never found the exact name if it has one), don't know if there are any other things you might need to know, just ask i'll try to find it.
Thanks for you help guys i appreciate
Billy
