Didn't work... the file I saved is a zip file and I'm assuming the mobo can't open it. Now don't think I'm an idiot but I'm trying to do all this on a macbook pro and I'm a pc guy, how do I open this zip with a mac?
Well I have successfully updated the bios to version 5.0 and to prove it I fired it back up and it didn't brick... yoo hoo.Now I get to tear it down and put it back together and see if I can figure out how to install windows10
For installing windows 10, u can use the same USB method with the Microsoft provided media creation tool from its website. Download the 64 bit version.
But I don't know if media creation is tool is available for Mac os...
I had already bought the Win10 on disc or I would have tried that, it's supposed to be a really fast install through the thumb drive.... but I've got time, all I really wanted was stability.

But you should have gotten a product key that came with your disc that can be used with any downloaded Windows 10 image.
