Hi,

I have an old desktop to which I want to add some more ram for ocasional gaming. It has 2x2GB DDR3 modules (4GB). I ran "wmic MEMORYCHIP get BankLabel, Capacity, DeviceLocator, MemoryType, TypeDetail, Speed" on Windows Console (cmd) and it showed the following values for both slots:

MemoryType: 24
Speed: 1067 <------------ (1067 * 2 = 2133), Double Data Rate?
TypeDetail: 128

So, given the Speed=1067, should I be looking for DDR3-2133 memory modules?

Thanks in advance

You might want to mention your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Then use CPU-Z to see what the spec's of your ram are. I will not suggest you do a ram upgrade if you intend to mix and match rams. If you intend to buy a ram kit, we can provide suggestions but we'll also need to know what your budget is.

After some read and unable to delete this question I'll edit this post.

So, if my ram's speed is displayed at 1067mhz, then the real speed is 2133mhz. Is this right?
