DFI Lan "Party" Nightmare

I have had a DFI Lan Party Pro 875B MB for a while now that has been nothing but trouble from day one. I managed to get it to be functional for several months, but now it is back to it's old ways again. Every so often it wants to just go through a BIOS update, and it's stuck in that mode again. The worst part is that even if I stick a floppy with the data on it, the award flash program comes up, asks for the file name for the update, but I can't type anything. Keyboard COM is dead. So the system just sits there forever waiting for data I can't give it.

So here's the deal. I've had enough of this crap. I want to rip this board out so I can have the pleasure of smashing it with my hammer into an unknown number of pieces. However, I have a RAID 0 setup using the built-in Highpoint 372N controller. I need to know what other MB manufacturers use this chip so I can just put the drives into a new system and be able to directly access the existing data on the drives. I'll assume for the moment that as long as I use the same controller on a different make MB, I should be able to do this, right?

So who else makes a MB with the same controller that I can use with these drives? Hopefully MSI does, as I've had good experiences in the past with them (at least with Athlon systems), but I'll welcome others. I'm using a 3.2 gig Prescott furnace and 2 gigs (4x512)of Geil Golden Dragon ram.

I really need help right now. I need to be able to both preserve the data on this RAID and have the pleasure of smashing this board to pieces. Thanks for any help with this.

Don't smash it. Send it to me, and I'll make a warranty claim, and have a spare board. Dfi gave me faster email support than all other companies I've dealt with. I even heard from a 2nd rep about my problem. Sorry, but I haven't found a different manufacturer that uses that highpoint raid.

Sorry dude, but this board is on DEATH ROW. I've had it with this board AND DFI. I did not get the same treatment from them as you did. I got nothing but braindead responses, both for this and an identical board that I had (which mercifully went right into the garbage, they'll be no mercy for this one).

My only concern is getting the data off the RAID, as I can't get this board to do anything except ask for a BIOS update disk, which it does nothing with. It never even makes it to POST. REALLY annoying.
