I bought a MSI G2Ti Pro-VT earlier today. After reading many review online, I was certain that the Ti's were clocked at 250/400. When I got home and installed the card, Powerstrip and some software that came with it showed it as being 200/400.

I'm really confused. Did Nvidia change the speeds? Is the card really a Geforce 2 Pro?

Well the GF2 Ti is supposed to be clocked at 250/400, but I've heard of some OEM boards clocked lower. Would your card be by any chance an OEM? And how much did you pay for it?

yes and no. thepro -vt indicates that it is a slower VALUE card. You probably paid less than an G2TI cost. so yes the marketing is misslesding somewhat but you thought you were getting a real G2TI, an did not pay attention to the
PRO -VT .

I aint signing nothing!!!

guess what....now it's reporting as being 250/400, so I guess everything's ok but that's strange. By the way, how much would you think i'd be able to overclock it too and what should i use to overclock it?

You can use RivaTuner, which you can download at http://www.guru3d.com.
First start OC'ing the memory bus a couple of MHz a time and see if it runs stable, then continue until it gets unstable or you are starting to see strange things. If that happens lower it a couple of MHz to get it back stable. Then start OC'ing the GPU the same way.

I use Geforce Tweak Utility to oc' my Nvidia Geforce2 Ti.
I am running it at 280/450. Although you could probably get it pretty close to 300/500 safely.
