[SOLVED] Did this kill my usb c port on my laptop?

I have a laptop with 10gbps usb c port (not thunderbolt) and I connected a usb hub to it in this order: USB 3.0 HUB < USB C TO USB A DONGLE < USB C PORT
But I accidentally put a paperclip in it and it had some sparks, I was stupid and put the paperclip in a few more times.
The usb c port seems to be working when I connect it to my iPhone using a lightning to usb c cable.
I am planning to connect to this usb port.
Will my usb c port work?

For example if you can transfer a video clip from your laptop to the USB-C flash then play it from the flash directly, the port is fine.

I successfully connected to my iPhone using a lightning to usb c cable so does that mean that my usb c port works?

So you should change the title to "Did this kill my USB Hub?"

If the computer recognizes the iPhone, the port is fine.

Thanks, the usb hub works but sometimes it shows an error saying that the usb device has malfunctioned.

The Hub's circuit might have been compromised by the metal clip, you should discard it for safety reason.
