[SOLVED] Difference between a HP nVidia GTX 950 and other GTX 950s?

The HP version of the GTX 950 looks kinda odd too me - like an old 9500GT with a cooler slapped on it. So I just wanna know if there even is a difference between the HP version and others and if yes, what kind of difference?

It's the same card/chip underneath only that the cooler is stripped down to the point where you can't game with the card but you will be able to do some graphical work or multi monitor setups.

Thanks for the quick answer! If you would still want to use it for gaming, to which GPU would the power compare?

OEM versions of GPUs are the same chipset, just usually downclocked for quieter performance and less power draw so they can keep using sub 300w psus. It's difficult to compare them with regular GPUs, benchmarks might show similar results as a normal gtx 950, but the sample rate of oem cards is pretty low. Something like a 1050 ti would be a noticeable improvement, even though they're both 2gb ddr5.

Your GTX950 doesn't have any power wires running to it, right?

There are GTX1650 models that don't have plugs for external power (such as this for $145 or this one for $135). That's going to be the absolute highest performance you can put in that (assumedly HP) tower without a power supply swap.
