Direct3D problem with Hercules Prophet 2 GTS Pro.

Hi everyone, I bought a Hercules Prophet II GTS Pro today to replace my old
Diamond TNT2Ultra. I installed it with no problem. Installed the 6.35
detonator 3 driver correctly. Ran Quake3 OK. With about 100% inprovement
over the TNT2U (I was getting 35fps under 1024X 32bit colour, but now I get
80fps) I tried the card with Direct3d games like NFS5, SWATS3 and UT. But
they ran like hell. I get nearly exact the same fps as I got with my
TNT2U. I usually get around 19-40fps under EVERY RESOLUTION. What's actually
happening with my PC? What did I do wrong? Please give advice!

I have a GF2 Pro from Hercules as well. The only problem that I have had with UT Direct 3D is some textures not lining up correctly. That was using Hercules 6.35 drivers. I have not had a problem running opengl UT with the S3TC textures installed from the second disc. Under D3D on UT i was still getting around 60 fps on 1024x768. I would try out the Hercules drivers quick just to have a figureative comparison. I am running Win98 SE (directx 8) on a PIII 733 on a Abit SE6(815E) with 256 megs, SB Live and the GF2 pro at default core and memory clocks.
