I've always had problems running Direct X games, and I've never really figured out why. I'm running Windows 2000 (latest SP), have updated my graphics drivers (nvidia detonator) and sound card drivers, and also I have the newest version of Direct X. Everytime I run a game that uses Direct X as its engine, my comp will always either reboot randomly, or the game will just return me to the desktop. And also, this has been happening to me since pretty much the beginning of time lol (at least with this computer setup), so it hasn't been anything new that I've done to the computer to cause this. Anyone know why this might happen, or what I can do to fix it? It's really irritating, especially when it gets to the point where I just give up trying to play games I've spent $50 on.
