Disable/enable sound card with command line?

Hi all

I wanted to know how I would be able to disable or enable a sound card (the same effect achived by clicking disable in device manager)? As posted in another thread it freezes up the computer...with using a command line or even better put it in a batch file so that I can make it whenever I wanted it to

or if it is not possible is it possible to get older sound version of sound drivers? Realtek HD Audio

Disabling/enabling the sound can be done via left clicking the speaker in the notification area of the taskbar.

If the sound card freezes the computer, then you might have a bad copy of the driver.
Fixing this kind of problem is a two step process.
1. Download/install/run http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner (FREE)
This will clean up your temp folders and registry.

2. Download/install/run http://www.phyxion.net/ (FREE)
Run it from the Safe mode (F8) to delete the existing sound drivers before installing the new drivers.

That doesn't disable the driver does it, it just disables individual componments. I tried it, it still freezes. I need a simple command line that will completely stop the driver or even make it not load
