Disabling "Lucid Virtu"?

I need some help with my Alienware M14x laptop. Ive been wanting to play battlefield but have been running into an error previously stated http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/115382-13-battlefield-directx-function-error-graphics-card-memory
So my question is (and im not exactly great with computers) how do i know if i have this software/how do i get rid of it to see if my battlefield 3 will run more smoothly? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance for your time.

look under all programs for virtu

or c program file lucidlogix

or search for virtu control panel

when you open the software its got an on/off button to disable/enable it
