Yes there is a history of it like the old 4200 4400 4600ti then the 8000 and 9000 series but for the sake of all thats good i hope they don't do it again

One of the pascal rumor articles I heard said NVidia was coming out with the GXT1070 and 1080.

While obviously that was a typo (can't find GXT anywhere else), it actually doesn't sound bad at all.

That is really old branding, every time I think of "ultra" I'm sent back to the 90s-00s. LOL.

If XFX made Nvidia cards then it would be like the days of old when the line up was really confusing with the amount models they would have of the same card.

Ok yeah, the gtx 950 is a great deal, however I wouldn't say it is equal to the 960 at all. Even just 10fps more is justifiable for the gtx 960.

The cheapest full size 950 on newegg is $144.99......The cheapest new 960 is $169 right now. The performance difference in the 2 for $25? Thats a no brainer to get the 960.

In my country, the GTX 950 2GB costs around RS.16,000 & the 960 costs around Rs19,000. As he said, its a no-brainer. I don't know what the price difference is in other countries, but yes I had shortlisted the GTX 950 at first but decided to save up more and buy the GTX 960 Asus Strix 4GB edition instead.

Is it gonna be that long until most of the Pascal cards comes out or is that just the 1060?
I'm currently on the fence on whether to buy a 980Ti Strix or wait for the pascal cards to arrive.

Just the lower end cards, the GTX 1070 and up is coming out earlier than that.

Im trying to decide if i want to upgrade to the new flagship when it drops or if i want to save for a ultra wide 1440p 34 inch monitor with gsync. My 780ti's are still doing a great job

Early next year for the 1080ti sounds fairly realistic though. I wouldn't expect the 1080ti to be released this year to be honest. Wouldn't it be weird to release it this year if the 1080 is released this summer?

I don't know the full detail but i think when XFX start selling GPU they maybe they making aggrement to be nvidia exclusive partner. Then they also start selling AMD gpu. Nvidia does not like that so they remove them from their first tier list. heard that XFX only get small quantity of nvidia GF104 and no GF100 chip at all as punishment. They stop selling nvidia cards altogether after that.

IIRC the last Nvidia cards that XFX did were the G92's. I don't think they did any Fermi cards.

Are you guys expecting the 1080 to have 6GB VRAM like the 980Ti or do you expect it may go beyond even that?
