heard that any leak will be meaning less this time? because it seems AMD will not going to give reviewer the "proper" driver until we got really close to NDA lift.

Maybe not... There already is a review out for the RX480 😀

Good point, But it's still something :)

LR got a card but they can't give us any benchmarks until the 29th? What a drag, that makes me think the card's performance isn't going to be that great otherwise they would be they would be shouting from the roof tops to create a better demand for it. Do you think [H]ard|OCP will get one to review?

I don't think amd is letting anyone benchmark their cards and showing them to the pubic until the 29th or sometime around that

Its called a review embargo, and if they ever want to receive another AMD card for review before its released they abide by it.

same thing goes for games and other hardware. date is set and if you don't follow you get nothing again from them. they got no choice but to follow the rules set down by manufacturers, at least if they wanna keep doing reviews and not having to buy the piece themselves.

i have not seen this yet. i have read a lot that drivers were pretty bad but not that it was intentional. that would really screw things up with reviews hitting the same day as the cards.

Review embargos are standard and are not at all evidence of poor performance (nor the opposite).

Oh that's going to be fun given their earlier piece on it...

They're going to spin it in the worst possible light... I'm guessing using Furmark energy figures to compare to the GTX 1070 energy figures and using that to calculate the perf / w in games (which will massively favour NV given the two will likely use the same power under that test).... I also expect they'll manage to get benchmarks that show it under performing NV across the board (nice list of Gameswork / Physx titles anyone?). It will be interesting to compare to other sites....

Personally I'm more interested in the Toms review- they aren't heavily biased either way in my experience, and will do things like compare performance and power consumption in actual games for example, as well as looking at stock vs overclocked settings and such.

i read a report of reviews being lifted for tomorrow but then quickly saw others saying ti was not true. numerous reporters quickly said it was still the 29th. and i also saw many retailers and suppliers saying there was plenty of stock for the new amd cards. does not mean they won't sell out, but should take longer than the nvidia cards did.

they can never produce enough to have a card on hand day 1 for every single person in the world that might want one. that's just silly thinking. all the brands and custom models and so on, no way anyone could guess how much of each card will sell day 1 and make that many. if you know how to compute this number i am sure the companies will have a very high paying job for you with a corner office and everything :)

SAME I really want one
Will microcenter even have them in stock that early?

They had the 1070 and 1080 on release day, I don't see why not.

Well then I'm gonna be the first one to be at Microcenter on Wednesday 😀 😀 😀
