Hi all,
I've got an issue with my laptop that's steadily getting worse. The bottom centimetre of the screen isn't rendering properly (see below). It's a slowly progressing issue, where it does eventually start working normally, after the PC has been warming up a bit, but that warming up is taking longer and longer over time.

Often, if I turn it on, go have a cup of tea, and come back, it still renders badly, but if I open an app, the re-render makes it work. This morning it's got to the point that even that's not worked.

However, if i take a screenshot of that section of the screen, it's perfect (see below).

So I'm assuming it's a display issue, not graphics card. Any thoughts?

Thanks
Andy

You'd be right in assuming it's a display issue, and I'd bet the screen is on its way out. It might be possible to get a replacement display and do a swap if you're so inclined, otherwise perhaps look to see if there's a local computer repair place that might be able to do it.
