Thank you for your answer, the same firmware was installed since the first day I bought the router, is it possible to downgrade to version 1.15?Is this the router you're working with? What firmware were you on prior to version 1.16? Try reflashing the firmware to one version prior and see if the issue persists.
The router is not old, it has been bought for a year and it had the same problem from the first day.If the firmware was on your router all along and you're experiencing issues with it now...after (assuming)years of use, then the router is on it's way out.
At first, I thought the problem was from the ISP side, but the problem was not solved even after changing the ISP.If the problem persisted since day one of your using it, why didn't you seek a return or a replacement? You can try a firmware downgrade but your results can and will vary.
That is an old model DSL combo router. Do you have a separate DSL modem or does the phone line go directly to the DLink ?I have a dlink 2750u v2 router with ME_1.16 firmware that has two problems:
- Low bandwidth of 3 megabits
- DNS settings are reset after an hour or after rebooting the router.
