Yesterday I was on YouTube watching videos when all of the sudden I got a pop up Windows 10 notifications that I have 3 viruses and there was two options below that to choose from 1. upgrade McAfee Subscription or 2. Don't Show This Again. I have Windows Defender which never detected anything and so I clicked option 2 to not show it again and then it opened another tab in Edge and sent me to some weird link with McAfee virus scanner in progress with a loud beeping sound with pop ups that say "WARNING!, VIRUS blah blah blah" I restarted my computer and the same thing is happening with the desktop just sitting there with nothing else open. Windows Defender finds no threats by the way and I also ran Malware Bytes which found nothing.

Just got more notifications now with a different options

Only thing I installed was a Windows Defender update yesterday. Everything else has been the same for a month.

Installed anything recently?

These type of popups are not a "virus" as such, but rather a scare factor to get you to click on the "Eliminate" button.
Which WILL infect your system, or at least get you to try to pay for something.

Do you use an adblocker?
uBlock, AdBlock Plus, etc...

If a scan with Defender and Malwarebytes shows nothing, this again points to that thing being just a scam popup. Designed to scare you and get you to click on "the fix".
