Do I need Intel Rapid Storage Technology? No raid, 1 SSD, 1 HD

Do I need Intel Rapid Storage Technology, Intel Rapid Start Utility / Software, Intel Rapid and Intel Smart connect utility?

I had a single 120gb SSD and 1.5tb hd that is nearly full.

I read up on it and decided to skip it. my main apps and OS are on my SSD, and it is quick enough as it is.

just installed intel storage technology rapidy and I went up to my iops are double my samsung pro 256 gb at least that was the last thing to install and then restart my benchmarks rose twice
