[SOLVED] Do i need to change motherboard as well?

I want to upgrade from i3 6100 to i3 9100F, and i have an msi H170M pro motherboard. Do i need to change the motherboard as well, because the chipset is the same.

yup. h170 only work up to 7th gen with the updated bios
