[SOLVED] Do I need to format old drive when installing new SSD?

I have a quick question for you guys. So I'm planning on getting a new SSD to upgrade my PC, I want to install new Windows on it also. My question is do I need to format my old HDD. I don't really want to because I have a lot of downloaded games on it and I have slow internet so Installing them again would take forever.

You don't have to, but you should disconnect it when you install the OS into SSD. After done the installation, reconnect the HDD.

Then try out the games, if those games don't work, then boot up the PC with the HDD again, you may try to this method like:

What are these games?
If Steam or Origin, you don't have to download them again.
If standalone games, probably will need a reinstall of them

For Steam games:

After you've installed the OS on the new drive, and the new Steam client, tell the new client where those games are on the other HDD.
