Question do i need to install windows updates?

Let us help to narrow this issue down. I'm basing this off of the Acer Swift 3 SF315-52
Full hard drive? It has a 128gb SSD and 1tb HDD. Unlikely to be full after 1 month, but it would help to know if the SSD is full as 128gb doesn't leave a ton of spare room.
Poor WiFi connectivity? This should be checked.
Underpowered laptop? The Swift 3 SF315 has an 8th gen 4c/8t I5, SSD, and 8gb of ddr4, so not an issue here.
Too much bloatware? Os reinstall could solve this. Neither of my newer Acer laptops has much bloatware, even my low-end netbook, other than the windows defaults and a little bit of OEM stuff, so I doubt this one does. This isn't likely an issue but its possible.
Corrupt audio driver? Could be, although the drivers should be correct from the factory. You could update your audio driver from device manager
Something else?
It's pretty hard to mess up a reinstall of windows if you are careful, so i would try that after doing the above in bold. If that doesn't solve it, id gets a replacement laptop. The laptop should have at least a 1 year warranty according to the warranty page of acers site.

391 free out of 512 gb
Bloatware, there is not much
Wifi is 50mbps download

when i watch videos and i open other websites or so it also cuts off the audio sound for less than a second of videos on youtube sometimes

Ironically if you leave the audio as is, maybe a windows update will fix it ? But leaving it as is and hoping for a fix is not what we would find very satisfactory. Another option is to reinstall any audio drivers for the mboard. Have you looked for them at the Acer web site ? If they are not helpfull/available a third option is to re install windows. The advantage to this is that non-required apps meant just for the brand's marketing purposes will not be installed, a leaner install and presumably one that does not gimp the audio . What's important at this point is to back up the data you want to save because an install will delete every thing. Think about it. There are 3 options and hand holding steps on this board to assist with the third. (You would start by making a usb install media tool as set out at windows download site)

Windows updates now include driver updates for hardware so yes, you should get them. The way windows updates work now is you only get them if there is one for any of the parts in your PC, it doesn't give you everything. So there shouldn't be any reason for them to break a new PC.

Try doing a clean boot and see if sound still acts the same. It is possible another program is conflicting with Realtek sound drivers.

Read instructions carefully and make sure NOT to disable any Microsoft services or Windows won't boot right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

Another option is to reinstall any audio drivers for the mboard. Have you looked for them at the Acer web site ?

newest on Acer web site are from March last year, Windows update would have newer versions now - https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7487?b=1 - the Acer web site suggests using Windows update anyway.

Fresh install should be last choice when trying to fix audio problems. Especially if rest of PC still works.

So i have decided to perform a clean win installation. the problem still exists even after downloading new realtek drivers and updating windows to the latest version and with ethernet.
-I must download windows and save it on usb drive
-Restart laptop with usb stick connected
-click on F2 while booting
-Search for boot from USB drive

Is that right?

does windows work now?
if so, there is another way to restart PC with a USB
Put USB drive in a slot
go to settings/update & security/recovery
under advanced startup, click restart now button
this loads PC into windows recovery
pick Use a device
find USB in list of drives and pick it
PC should restart and boot from USB

otherwise
F2 gets you into the bios
You probably need to do this 1st
Set BIOS supervisor password(SECURITY), disable secure boot(BOOT)& enable F12 Windows boot mgr (MAIN). Save BIOS settings & exit
Put USB stick in
Then you can press F12 to get straight to the USB at boot

1st way (going through Windows) is much easier as you don't need to change any BIOS settings.

thanks, Is Bluetooth/Wlan and other things already in Win 10 when i download it or do i have to install them too?

windows has generic drivers for most hardware and after the install is finished, will do its best to find drivers for your PC.

this is what it shows under drivers on the acer website for laptop:
After upgrading to Windows 10, if there are any drivers that haven't been installed, please run Windows Update to install the appropriate drivers.
