I think you accidentally a word in the title.
Yeah, pick a reputable brand. To wit:
Antec
Corsair
Silverstone
Seasonic
NZXT
Thortech
LEPA
OCZ
XFX
Cougar's probably OK too, but I'm not certain.

Firetruck, yeah, I wrote it, but it disappeared ><
Is there a difference between a PSU that is SLI ready or not?
Sli ready just means it comes with the connectors to plug in multiple graphics cards. Stick with the brands I listed. I am not sure why so many people suggest OCZ but as far as I know they are not top tier in testing.

A power supply is not somewhere to go "cheap".
But it won't be a problem, if I buy a "non-ready" sli PSU?
And why only them?
What about cooler master?
Coolermaster are not known for their high quality units either.
Basically if you really need a 1000w PSU for a super high end system you need a quality low noise low ripple product. You do really need 1000 watts right? Not just building a single graphics card comnputer and think you need 1000w?

No, I've used the new egg calculator and it said, that I need 852, but I plan on overclocking in the future, and yes, there are going to be 2 gtx 570
Where in Europe?
2x570 would be fine on an 850W. No problem, OCed or not. These guys got a maximum of 582W: http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-570-sli-review/13
So stick to 850W and spend the extra money on a better unit, maybe 80+ Gold.
