Hello!

So i got a this new build, everything is perfect except one thing.
The problem is that the DOCP for the memories doesn't work and when i set it to 3200 auto ,the system restarts and i got no boot, the only option is to revert changes.
I would leave it at 2133mhz but i realized that the system doesn't respond right,it struggles because of the low memory speed.

The build:
CPU: Ryzen 2700x
MOBO: Asus Primex x470 Pro
RAM: G.Skill RipjawsV 16GB DDR4-3200MHz
PSU: Corsair RMx Series RM750x

I have searched and saw that this thing is called Ryzen RAM Hell :)

I know i have to set it manually somehow but i got zero experience on manual RAM setting.

So if anyone had the same problem and solved it,some help would be greatly appreciated :D
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried running the RAM at 2933MHz using DOCP and changing the speed to 2933MHz? Let me know if crashes are gone when at 2933MHz.

You must be a magician or something! It worked.
I have tried multiple times with other frequencies before but i had no success!
Here are the changes that i made and the system booted with the first time.

Is this a cap or 3200mhz can be achieved too?

This is memory instability with one of the variables. When you buy RAM this is important to check the motherboard QVL list and RAM compatibility board list to see what RAM can be used to their advertised speed using XMP/DOCP profile without any issues.

I guess your RAM + board + CPU just don't play along together but that doesn't mean you cannot achieve 3200MHz on the RAM. Just not by using DOCP. You will have to play with the timing manually and probably the voltage. I will let someone more experienced with OCing to help you with that.

Running your RAM at 2933MHz instead of 3200MHz won't hurt your performance anyway. :)

I understand, although in the QVL list for asus x470 pro the F4-3200C16D sticks are supported which have same latency with my F4-3200C16D Ripjaws but they are the F4-3200C16D Tridentz models🤷‍♂️.

On the other hand,my lag spikes and stutter are gone, although ryzens want as much speed as possible but as you said the gains from 2933 to 3200mhz aren't worthy risking the manual madness, especially if you are not experienced like me or maybe a professional in OCing can help in that in a new post ✋😁.

Thank you very much for your help! Best answer given!
