I have asked before ,but got no satisfactory answer.
HOW DO I UNINSTALL WIN2000 ?
My Win2000 is corrupted and fkd up.
I tried a clean install off the W2K CD ,but now i just have
2 copies of W2K.
I want a clean start.
or can someone tell me of a free utility that will do it?

Qualify your question.

By uninstall, do you wish to completely wipe your system?

Or do you want to uninstall Win2k from a system which also contains other O/S's?

Are you asking how to reformat your hard drive and start fresh? If so what type of file system did you set it up with? NTFS or fat 32?

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!

Since you say you want a "clean start," just try formatting the drive and install from DOS.

This isn't the only way, but....

Set your BIOS to boot from the CDROM first.

Reboot from the Win 2000 CD (mine is bootable, I'm sure yours is too).

After the hellish amount of time it takes to load various bits, select 'install' then accept the license agreement.

The next screen shows details of your drive partitions, you can DELETE the partition your O/S is currently installed on, which wipes everything. Then CREATE a partition in the space you just cleared.

Continue as normal from there, and a fresh installation will be yours.

(Remember to change the BIOS back so it boots from the hard-drive).
