If the i9 10980xe is any good I will likely purchase one, but I would like to know if this block is compatible with the LGA 2066 chipset

It say's its for 1151 socket, so I doubt it.

Doubtful at best, it will likely require a completely redesigned block/delid kit.

All google searches returns that this magic is specified only for LGA1151 socket delidded CPU's.
Give them a try, mail them on their support.
