Hi, I want to upgrade the GPU on an old HP H9-1301ER PC.

Specifications:
CPU - i7 3770
GPU - GTX 680
PSU - 600w
Motherboard - Pegatron 2AD5
BIOS - AMI 8.10 09/25/2012
BIOS Type AMI UEFI

I want to buy an AFOX GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GPU. Is it compatible with this motherboard ?
If not, which GPU will be compatible ?

Thank you

Do you have the motherboard's User Guide/Manual?

The manual should provide some listing of supported components/component configurations.

The manual will likely recommend visiting the motherboard's manufacturer's website to obtain more up to date information.

Overall, what you are interested in is find the QVL (Qualified Vendors List).

Read both the motherboard's User Guide/Manual and the GPU's User Guide/Manual.

Pay attention to all fine print, warnings, notes, caveats, etc..

Details matter.

That said, I was able to find this:

HP Pegatron Link

I also found other links claiming to provide the manual. However, such links are often very suspect and should be carefully scrutinized before clicking.

I don't have the motherboard's User Guide/Manual.
But I have read that the motherboard BIOS may not be compatible with the newer gpu's. So I was wondering if anyone has experience installing rtx2060 or other new gpu's on this motherboard.

UEFI BIOS, so it should be okay with newer cards. Though that is basically the first generation of UEFI BIOS to hit the consumer market, so it may not have amazing compatibility.

This is one of those situations where you might be better off with a complete platform replacement regardless. I can't think of too many games that need an RTX 2060 that also will run okay with a 3770.
