These both sound highly entertaining. Awsome ideas!

Hehe, don´t be too strict about influence after discard, though ;-)
Coule be harsh if someones forgets it.

Undue Influence is the product of an idea from David Cherryholmes for
speeding the progress of the game rapidly through the opening and
directly to the mid-game (to shorten the overall time of a game).

It was really about trying to find some fix for the weenie problem. It
just also happens to shorten games, which can be seen as a good thing in
and of itself.

Last Friday it was getting late and we were deciding between one more
casual game or calling it a night. Seemed like a perfect time to try
out the Undue Influence format. We all used ordinary/unmodified decks,
since I sprung the format on the rest of the players right there. Made
for an interesting game. I think we lost track of the 1 hour time limit
and went over it. Going fourth, I decided not to use all 24 transfers,
since that would put me at 6 pool and I'd have to wait a whole turn
before being able to recover any of it. It was nice to see what
everyone else influenced out first though (4 player table). Turns out I
had a great opening hand for a slow, build-up game (too many masters,
some of which were 2 blood dolls) instead of this rapid start.

Any thought to doing a modification for starting hand, since you could
get killed before your second turn if you don't draw any/enough
reactions? Or should that be a deck construction consideration when
building your library specifically for this event (something we
obviously did not do)?

Later,
