Greetings all,

Well after racking myself for 8 hours straight and trying every possible solution; The finish line remain so far away.

I put it together turn on power button, CPU Red Light follow by VGA light then boot light. Other times it was VGA always on and of course no signal through HDMI connected keyboard couldn't do anything and no viable solution online. Called Mobo support and they said incompatibility with RAM. Went to my Best buy and found some compatible RAMs but the ver # was higher but decided to buy it and try it. Pop them in and blinking CPU light did have the case fans off so connected them and no more light. However, now the DRAM light stays on and can't do anything. Been doing an out of box testing with the ram, loosed the screws and nothing. Both RAM modules the DRAM mobo light on with that vibrant red.

Here is the build

Note: I am using the stock case fans it has set up since the replacement ones haven't arrived and mainly connected it to the SAT of the PU. The RGB Vengeance are CMR16GX4M2D3000C16 ver 3.31. The ones I just got for compatibility testing are the vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2A2400C16 ver 5.30.

Did you try testing with just 1 DRAM stick? You might have a bad stick.

As you know, each of the status LED should come on during POST. If that component passes the POST, then the LED goes out. If one does not go out, then there is an issue with that component. I find it kind of weird that with the old memory the issue was with VGA and with the new memory it is with RAM. I wonder if there isn't a something more complicated going on, like an issue with the PSU or even the MB itself.

I am trying to remember if I ever saw Dram light blink before it was either on vga or then boot light before I tried the LPX. I did try the 1 stick test which each stick but dram light just stays on has soon has it powers up. Did remove CPU cooler and examine the cpu for broken pins but as far has I can tell no broken pin or anything. I am going to call support again see if a different rep has a different solution. Maybe also see if nearby computer repair shop can offer some insight. If it is PSU or MB talk about luck has both just arrived between today and yesterday.
