Hey,
Ok.
I have a Duron 800, and a Gigabyte 7ZM

Gigabyte offers some kinda of software overclocking tool
but i want to know is this board overclockable
I do not see any voltage setting, only setting for the bus speed.

Any information reguaring this board?
I know the 7Zx is similar to mine, but mine is a smaller version a Micro ATX only 3pci's instead of 5 thats it.

i overclock on a ga-7zx but i trashed my warranty in the procces. as long as you just use thier utility to modify the fsb. you will be fine though you will need to use a trick similiar to unlocking the l1 brdges to up your voltage. my board runs stable at 115 mhz fsb.
if you want to contol the voltage and the multiplier by dipswitches you have to turn the board upside down and remove 9 pins from the socket. the 5 vid and the 4 fid pins.
if you want i can go into more detail later but i don't recommend this except to the most mentally deranged such as myself! because once you go there is no turning back

Dude,
that software the Easytune,, i got my 800 up to 900 and 950 or so, stable 950 was stable but froze-could of been windows.. but.. i mean shouldnt a 800 be able to go to 1000?
without increasing the bus??

easytune only adjusts the buss speed.
the reason you crash at 950 is your buss was at 118 or 119 mhz instead of the default 100.
i don't know of any gigabyte boards that let you adjust the multiplier. that is why i took a soldering iron and modified my board. i can only run stable at 115 mhz which is more than most boards can do.

who is more foolish...
the fool, or the fool that takes his advice?
